Kendriya Vidyalaya is one of the topmost schools in the country. It is operated by the central government. There are only two schools run by the Central Government in the country, one Kendriya Vidyalaya and the other Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. There is competition between the two schools. Kendriya Vidyalaya admission is done through Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Kendriya Vidyalaya was established on 15th December 1916. The total number of Kendriya Vidyalayas within the country is one thousand two hundred and forty-seven. Three Kendriya Vidyalayas are run by the Government of India even outside the country.
No entrance test is conducted for admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya. You just have to apply for admission after which your child is selected. In the selection process, some special categories of students are given preference in admission. This preference is given to the children of government employees, however, the preferred rate is decided on the basis of different posts.
How to take admission in KV
Kendriya Vidyalaya admits students from class I to XI. For class one, students have to apply online. For admission from classes two to nine, one has to apply offline. Admission for class XI is started after the declaration of class X results. Admission of students of classes after class one is done on the basis of vacant seats. 2-If any of the dates happen to be a public holiday the next working day shall be treated as opening/closing dates.

Preference is given to some special students in Kendriya Vidyalaya admission
In the first priority are the children of those employees who work under the Central Government, the children of ex-servicemen who have retired, and the children of foreign national officers who have come to India.
The second category includes the children of those employees who are working in higher institutions of the Indian government.
In the third category, preference is given to the children of state government employees and the children of foreign nationals residing in India who are staying in India for government work.
Twenty-five percent of seats under RTE for Kendriya Vidyalaya admission should have SC/ST/EWS/BPL/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate.

The application form is filled in in 5 steps.
1- Basic Information (In this you have to fill in the name of the student, address, etc. )
2- Parent Details (In this, the details of the parents have to be filled.)
3- Choice of Schools ( In this, in which field you have to take admission in the KV, the filling has been removed.)
4- Upload Documents (In this, you have to fill in the documents like income certificate, caste certificate, date of birth certificate, and passport size photo of the student.)

Steps to Apply
- First of all, you go to the official website of KV kvsangathan.nic.in.
- After that, you have to click on the portal link of the online application of KV. After the opening of the link, you have to click on the link for the class 1 application.
- Fill in personal details like name, mother’s name, father’s name and date of birth, mobile number, etc. in the application form.
- After filling in the personal details, fill in the captcha code.
- After that verify the mobile number through OTP.
- After that, you will get the login code which you should keep safe.
- After that, you have to click here then click on Login Portal
- After that, you have to fill in all the steps which are given above.
